To Think

Spring Primroses

And to think that  just a slight shift in the time can make such a difference in the light.  And the light in the warmth. And the warmth in the mood. With everything melting and softening and opening and stretching and giving back.  These first few dramatic and glorious days of spring.  Everything pulsing.   What a rush.   Sixty degrees on Friday and abundant sunshine, along with gusty March winds.

Just taking it bit by bit. A little pond work, a little raking next to the front deck and trimming back in the brick succulent garden and cleaning up the flower boxes where there are succulents and licorice growing beneath the winter greens. Sweeping the deck where the snow has melted of pine cone litter.

And then…….and then…… a thick blanket of fresh snow this morning……….. and still snowing and piling up!     A trick of nature!   And to think…….
